Coooooooool Flash Sites!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You gotta check it out!

WOW! These experimental Flash websites are amazing! These sites use Flash BEAUTIFULLY! Great! Genius! Well-designed! Very nice look and feel!...I could tell you more about just how cool these sites are, but you might as well just check it out! I promise that you'll adore these websites at first glance! ;-)

NB: Most of these websites I have collected are recommended by learnflash.com. I have also kept short reviews of these websites for your convenience. Have fun!

osmanDinc. interactive media designer - This was a finalist in the FlashForward 2005 competition in the "Experimental" category. OsmanDinc is a very original site, and I really like their navigation. It takes a second to figure out exactly how the site works, but once you figure it out, it's very intriguing. Their experimental section (the link next to "003") has some great examples of some of the effects you can achieve with advanced ActionScript.

TAZO Tea - What impress me most is the circular navigation menu which is just pure genius. You gotta check it out!

255 Design Studio - Portfolio of New Media Designer Kai Reusser - This is a very fluid, well-designed website with some great tunes. There's nothing spectacularly original about the site, but it's put together very well, and it has a very nice look and feel to it. Also, see if you can figure out how to listen to some Miles Davis or Otis Redding on the website . . . a nice little feature I discovered while perusing the site.

MAP - I still haven't completely figured this site out, but you gotta give these guys credit for being original. This site has a very unique look and feel to it, not to mention the one-of-a-kind navigational structure. It took me a second when the site first loaded to realize it was playing an animated intro. I was trying to click on things, not realizing that it was giving me a tour first . . . at least I THINK that's what it was doing! Anyways, enjoy the site, and learn from it. Learn what to do and what not to do!

PIXEL PEACH::strange beautiful - This is by far one of the best Flash sites I have ever seen! Coming to you from Austin, Texas, Pixel Peach Studios has created a beautiful work of art with their website. It's beautiful, it's original, the music is perfect . . . it's everything you want in your Flash website! The only problem is that it takes a while to load . . . but if you're patient, it's definitely worth the wait! So check out pixelpeach.com and let me know what you think!

The Official Website of George & Ira Gershwin - Site Design by Pinwheel(www.pinwheel.tv) - That's right, THE Gershwins! As in George and Ira. If you're a music-lover--especially one who loves the oldies--then you'll adore this website! I think if George and Ira were still around today, they'd be very proud of this website. It looks great, it sounds great, the transitions are nice and smooth. It's a great example of a Flash website that doesn't go too far. This site is a very simple, yet very well put together website. So check it out!

Netshock Web Area: web design, visual communication, rebranding - Coming to you from Italy, this Flash masterpiece is a fluid work of art! I love the transitions in the menus, and Netshock has done a great job throughout the website of incorporating animation into photographs. Also, check out their portfolio. In it you'll find many Flash sites that will make you scream with envy! So check out http://www.netshock.it/ and let me know what you think!

Orisinal: Morning Sunshine - No, I didn't spell it wrong. Orisinal.com has a softer, more childlike feel to it than most of other sites. But before you visit the website, make sure you have plenty of time on your hands, because there are PLENTY of addicting games on the site.

ANDY TITUS - Sweet navigation! That's the first thing that comes to mind when I think of andytitus.com. This is a very smooth, very clean site. It may take a second to figure out exactly how the navigation works, but once you figure it out, it's pretty cool. Check it out.

E.G.G. - Thoroughly unique and ingeniously developed, this website is an inspiration to anyone with the heart of a designer. So turn off your radio for a second and visit EGG!

J.K.Rowling Official Site - Harry Potter and more - This is the website of the author of the famous Harry Potter books. Admittedly, the site design is a little busy, but for a busy site, I'd say it was done very well. But I'll let you judge for yourself.

amaztype - It may not seem all that cool at first glance, but when you realize what it's doing, you'll be amazed. Basically, this site uses Amazon.com's web services to perform searches. You enter in what you want to search for, and amaztype will pull up all the results from amazon and splash them all over the screen. You can then click on one of the results and view more information (which is also pulled from amazon). This site is definitely worth checking out!

Deft Creative - Innovative Flash Design - Their online portfolio is still pretty small, but their Flash design is exquisite! I sense good things in the future for this web design firm out of the UK. So check out their site, and let them know how awesome they are.

Pixel Gasoline - You can't help but be impressed with a site like pixelgasoline.com! Pixel Gasoline is a company that specializes (as you'll quickly discover) in creating 3D websites and animations for various types of multimedia projects. They also do logo design and much more.
And to top it all off, they have one of the coolest websites I've ever seen! I never thought a walk around a gas station could be so entertaining. The atmosphere of this website is amazing. They go out of their way to make you feel like you're really there.

KNI - KNI is an interactive design firm with an impressive portfolio and a stunning website. Their simple, fluid design epitomizes one of Flash's most impressive capabilities: continuity. Instead of a page refresh, where you momentarily lose track of what is where on the page, with Flash, you can create fluid transitions from one section of your website to another. KNI's website uses this concept perfectly. You click on a section of their website, and you watch that section expand. There's no hassle, no confusion, and you always know exactly what's going on. Plus, the site just looks cool!

TOPSHELF GRAPHICS - Topshelf Graphics is a multimedia firm that specializes in graphic design. From logo creation to 3D animation, Topshelf does it all, and does it well! Check out their amazing Flash website, and keep a pen handy, because you might want to take notes. I'm sure you gotta love the vertical navigation bar that moves back and forth across the stage: simple, yet elegant and effective.

wireframe studio::conductors of multimedia::cape town::south africa - Wireframe Studios is a design studio based in South Africa with a very impressive portfolio of design work. Their website is a very simple, yet very effective design with a smooth, flawless navigational structure.
1000PIS - 1000PIS is Gosary Story's "graphic diary" -- an amazing portfolio of high-quality design work. The site itself is very creative, and an absolute delight to surf through. So check it out for yourself!

CRYSTAL PLANETS - Crystal Planets is the personal website of designer/developer David Fox. David is experienced with Flash, Photoshop, Fireworks, PHP, HTML, XHTML, CSS, Database Management, etc. But what you guys will really care about is that he has made a really cool website in Flash with "an insane amount of tweens". So check out his website, and let him know what you think! You should also check out his other website at: Smell The Glove

http://www.dontclick.it/ - For those of you who are tired of having to click the mouse button to get from one place to another, this experimental Flash site is for you. At www.dontclick.it, you will only have to click your mouse button ONCE, at the intro to the site. After your first click, the entire site navigation is achieved using rollovers. Just point your cursor where you want it to go, and . . . well, you'll figure it out quickly enough. The only question that remains is whether you can resist the urge to click!
