A poor child...You gotta check it out!
"Dear God,
I promise I will never waste my food no matter how bad it can taste and full I may be. I pray that He will protect this little boy, guide and deliver him away from his misery. I pray that we will be more sensitive towards the world around us and not be blinded by our own selfish nature and interests.
I hope this picture will always serve as a reminder to us that how fortunate we are and that we must never ever take things for granted.
Dear Friends,
Please don't break. Keep on forwarding to our friends on this good day. Let's make a prayer for the suffering in anywhere anyplace around the globe and send this friendly reminder to others. Think and look at this...when you complain about your food and the food we wasted daily." - Anonymous - from Photobucket.com Free Image Hosting - Online Photo Albums - Photo Sharing

Well, this is what I found after a while surfing the Internet. I have rewritten the caption to make it more readable. I love this picture so much. It brings me a mix of feelings: feeling guilty about living in comfort, feeling sorry for this poor little child,...I especially like that kind of pictures. Therefore, I want to share it with all of you. However, one thing makes me wonder...how has the child been since then? What did the photographer do to help the child? (hey! he should give food to the child rather than stand there and take that precious moment, huh?) ^_^ haven't figured it out yet!

When you look at the image... define the essential elements that elicit the emotions you have described. Is it his tiny, thin legs? Or that his head seems enormous compared to his body. Is it the squalour or the crumbs on the ground?
It is very easy to get wrapped up in emotions and not use an analytical eye to see - to really see - what you are looking at. But that is the essence of a good artist of any kind - to go beyond the emotionalism. If he has been the image that haunted you, then perhaps you need to draw him - make him a spokesperson for tragedy on a more global level. Make him a wise little character who tweaks our conscience. If all you do is let your emotions overwhelm you - then you let him remain a victim.
